Some people like to go on exactly one vacation per year so they don’t mind that they are paying the absolute highest price by going in the peak season. But smart travelers realize they can go on two vacations per year or even more if they choose their times wisely, and today’s deal is a perfect example of that.
During the summer months you can stay at the Riu Palace Cabo San Lucas Resort for more than 50% off the normal price. This is a deluxe 4-star hotel right on the beach in the heart of the hotel district, and it’s packed with people paying full price from December through March. Going in the next few months you can afford a week there and a week somewhere else for the same price.
A Junior Suite Garden View at the Riu Palace Cabo San Lucas for as low as US$263 per night, all-inclusive per couple.
This deal is only available through Expedia and only for stays of at least two nights. Many of the best deals are for stays of one week, so this is perfect for even a 2 or 3 day weekend in summer to recharge your batteries. It includes a garden-view room with two double beds, but for only US$12 more per night you can get an ocean-view suite, which seems like a better deal.
A large luxury resort with all the trimmings
With 642 guest rooms, the Riu Palace Cabo San Lucas is one of the largest in Baja California, and this means they have more restaurant and activity choices than most of the others as well. If you are looking for an intimate resort this isn’t a good choice, but if you are interested in having nearly unlimited dining and recreational choices, this is perfect.
Many all-inclusive resorts actually have restrictive policies that are a bit of a trick when you realize what’s not included, but at this resort they simply state, “guests will not be charged extra for meals, drinks, activities, gratuities, or use of recreational facilities.”
This includes tennis, volleyball, the spa tub, the sauna, and obviously everything on the beach, as well as entrance and drinks at the Pacha night club, including all taxes and gratuities. For two people visiting, say, Las Vegas, it would be easy to spend way over US$300 per day per couple just on food and drinks and a nightclub, so here you get the room and the beach for free.
Summer has great weather
One thing that not everyone realizes about the Pacific part of Mexico is that the so-called rainy season is actually still very dry. There are virtually no hurricanes in this part of the Pacific as well, so the only thing you have to contend with is the warm daytime weather, which actually feels very nice as you are sitting on the breezy beach or sipping included cocktails by the beautiful pool.
