Free room upgrade at 5-star Los Cabos all-inclusive resort

It’s become clear that if you want to spend a holiday in the same place as celebrities that you have to head to Los Cabos, and what better way to pull that off than to get a free room upgrade included at a top resort. The Barcelo Los Cabos Palace Deluxe All Inclusive was voted one of the Top 25 spa and relaxation resorts in Mexico by TripAdvisor, so to get any kind of deal is a pleasant surprise.

If you like intimate hotels this one isn’t for you, since they have 619 guest rooms that are all suites. Even the smallest rooms are jammed with luxurious amenities, but of course right now you can book one of the smallest rooms and get automatically upgraded to a larger and nicer one, so forget about the bottom level.

Amazing rooms for an all-inclusive

The Junior Suite Deluxe rooms are 549 square feet, making them nearly double the size of a typical urban hotel room. You get a choice of either one kingsize bed or two doubles, so they are ideal for families as well. There’s also a separate sitting area with a sofa and even a dining table with two chairs.

The automatic upgrade bumps you up to an ocean-view room, which is certainly worthwhile even if you had to pay for it. The gorgeous Pacific Ocean views from the rooms is something not to miss during the day, but it’s really the sunsets that will be magical for those lucky enough to be on the west side of the hotel.

All-inclusive is not kidding around here

Of course you get three meals per day included in the all-inclusive package, with the choice of either the Mexican or the international restaurant, but you also get a certain number of meals at the deluxe a la carte restaurants depending on how long you stay. Those staying a week get 4 a la carte dinners, so you won’t be cramming yourself into a crowded buffet line like you do at many other resorts.

The rate also includes all drinks, including soft drinks and juices, but also beer, house wine, and spirits. For those that like a few beers during the day and maybe a few glasses of wine or cocktails in the evening, the all-inclusive plan will pay for itself quickly.

You also get full use of the fitness center, but face it, this is a vacation, so you’ll be happier to use the free lounge chairs out on the beach instead. You also get your in-room minibar restocked every day with snacks and even domestic beers, so if you’d rather just relax in your suite and enjoy the sunset instead of going out early in the evening you’ve got that covered for the same price as well.

Room rates start at just over $300 per room per night based on double occupancy, and for those rates you automatically qualify for the room upgrade as well as a free whale-watching excursion.
