Some regular readers have pointed out that we rarely feature deals to Montego Bay in Jamaica, which is true. That’s partly because it’s the most popular resort area on the island, plus the closest one to the main airport, so the resorts tend to not offer the bargains that they do elsewhere.
But this week that all changes when we see that the Holiday Inn SunSpree Resort Montego Bay All Inclusive is offering limited rooms at 60% off. You can get a standard room for only US$178 per night for two people on an all inclusive basis, and other room types are only a bit more expensive.
A Standard Room at the Holiday Inn SunSpree Resort Montego Bay All Inclusive for US$178 per night for two people. The rate includes free Wi-Fi and free cancellation, so there is no risk in booking before you find a cheap airfare. A Superior Room is only US$187 per night, a Deluxe room is only US$198 per night, and a Junior Suite is only US$235 per night.
This rate is available for a limited time on Expedia.com, which is our booking partner in the Caribbean. There is no minimum stay required to qualify for the rate, but rooms are limited so if you are interested you should book now.
Reasonable upgrades and kids eat free
One of the best things about this deal is that it’s very family friendly, as is the resort itself. Most rooms come with two queen beds, and kids 12 and under stay and eat free with their parents. This means that a family of four can all stay for only US$178 per person, with all food and drinks included. Considering that this is a deluxe resort right on the beach in Montego Bay, that is an amazing deal.
Better still, the Holiday Inn SunSpree Resort Montego Bay All Inclusive offers very reasonable prices on the room upgrades. Many resorts have a low “teaser” rate on the rooms that overlook the parking lot, and the ocean view rooms are at least US$50 more per night. But here the Standard Rooms overlook the garden or hillside, and the Superior Rooms for only US$9 more per night all have a partial ocean view.
The resort has 520 rooms and 7 restaurants, so they have all the amenities and conveniences that you could hope for in a Caribbean beach resort. There’s a Kids Club and a kiddie pool, but also a main pool with a swim-up bar for the parents. And of course, all those drinks are free, so you can really relax in the tropical breezes each afternoon while the kids are building sandcastles or playing organized games with the trained staff. In this price range you wouldn’t expect to get so much, so don’t wait until the rooms are all taken for this one.
