Punta Cana beachfront all-inclusive for only US$232 per night for two

Even though the weather in the Caribbean is still perfect for a few months, prices are much lower than their high season peaks so this is the perfect time for a value vacation. If you are looking for an all-inclusive resort then hopefully you know that the Dominican Republic has the greatest selection and mostly the lowest prices in the Caribbean.

This week we are seeing rates at the all-inclusive Grand Palladium Punta Cana Resort & Spa at only US$232 per night for a Deluxe room for two people. This is a huge 3.5-star resort with a great reputation so that price feels about half of what you’d be paying in February or March, so now is the perfect time.

The Deal

A Deluxe Room at the Grand Palladium Punta Cana Resort & Spa, all-inclusive at US$232 per night for two people.

The Details

This rate is available through Expedia and it includes a 10% Early Bird discount so you have to book soon to lock this one in. The rate includes free cancellation so there is no harm in booking before you have flights bought, and there is no minimum stay required to qualify so you can do this for just a long weekend if you like.

Four swim up bars and 13 restaurants

Often we highlight the smaller resorts where the staff gets to know your name by the time you’ve finished dinner, but this is a larger resort with 431 rooms and it has many benefits that the smaller places can’t match. Start with 13 different restaurants for example. Needless to say, you can eat at a different places for every meal and only on the 5th day would you repeat. Most all inclusives have exactly one buffet plus maybe an a la carte place, but this one has them all beat.

You also have four poolside bars that each have a swim-up bar attached. In high season you might worry about most of them being packed (because drinks are included, after all) but in the shoulder season like this you’ll probably have one of them to yourself, or at least a few open seats. Being able to stretch out a bit is something you wouldn’t expect at an all-inclusive in this price range, but here it is.

Jetted bathtubs plus much more

Even if a resort has loads of amenities you might expect the cheaper ones to have very basic rooms, but the Grand Palladium Punta Cana Resort & Spa has lovely ones. Each has a bathroom with a jetted tub where each guest gets use of a bathrobe and slippers.

You also get a refrigerator stocked with free snacks and drinks, plus an iPod docking station so you can have your own romantic soundtrack, and satellite TV with movie channels. Each room has a balcony as well so you can enjoy the tropical breezes any time of day or night.
