Recently we’ve discussed beach resorts that have an adults-only policy, but obviously there are many families looking for good deals, and today we have a great one. The Park Royal Cozumel Resort has rooms that are perfect for small families for only US$172 per night, which is 30% off their normal low-season rate.
Cozumel, as you may know, is an island in the Caribbean about an hour drive south of Cancun, so you get all the benefits of cheap Cancun flights along with the island atmosphere. This 348-room beachfront resort is very popular with families because it’s affordable and has great facilties for all ages.
A Deluxe room at the Park Royal Cozumel Resort for US$172 per night for two people all-inclusive. A Deluxe Ocean View room is only US$199 per night under the same special.
This special is available through Expedia, our booking partner, and includes a 30% early booking bonus, so it’s not available for last-minute trips. The special also includes free cancellation, so you can feel free to book without a penalty if the flights and dates don’t work out.
An ideal place to relax
In this price range it may not surprise you that this is a resort that is primarily meant for relaxation rather than a laundry list of water sports and activities. There is snorkeling and scuba diving, but this resort is mostly about its 3 pools and one childrens’ pool. There is a poolside bar for the adults and a Kids Club for the little ones, so everyone is happy.
Each room has two double beds with premium bedding, so everyone will sleep well and comfortably. There’s also a private balcony and handmade oak furnishings, so this is not a cookie cutter hotel. Of course you get a large flatscreen TV, air conditioning, and a marble and granite bathroom.
This is considered a 3.5-star resort and it gets high ratings from past guests on TripAdvisor, with 92% of them recommending it for future guests. When booking such an affordable all-inclusive resort it’s important to keep expectations realistic because there is a big difference between a place like this and one that charges US$500 per night.
Although relaxation is the primary activity, the resort does offer activities for adults and children both day and night. There are pool games and evening shows, so if you’d rather get involved and mingle with other guests rather than reading your book by the pool, you have that option and it’s all included in the same price.
There’s the main buffet restaurant with Mexican and other items, plus an a la carte Mexican restaurant and another that specializes in Italian food. They even have a snack bar that serves hamburgers, nachos, and pizza, so all ages can stuff themselves all day if they choose.
