Occidental Grand Aruba is located in the center of the Palm Beach scene. This part of Aruba is known for its many resorts and beaches, along with golf, horseback riding, ATV rental and other water sports. This resort is set up on the beach, and some nearby attractions include the Butterfly Farm, Adventure Golf, Bubali Bird Sanctuary and Eagle Beach.
Those interested in flying into Aruba and staying here should buy tickets to Oranjestad’s airport, Queen Beatrix International. It is located about five miles away from Occidental Grand Aruba.
Along with being on the beach, Occidental Grand Aruba also hosts a 24,000-square-foot casino, which offers slot machines, black jack, craps, Caribbean stud poker and three-card poker. There is also live music every night. This resort has several on-site restaurants, as well as bars and a disco.

Occidental Grand Aruba has 391 rooms throughout two nine-story buildings. These accomodations contain furnished balconies and patios that face the pool, garden or sea. Their marble bathrooms come with glassed-in shower/tub combinations, make-up/shaving mirrors, scales, phones, complimentary toiletries and hair dryers.
Other room amenities are cable television, DVD players, CD players, compact refrigerators (stocked with water, soft drinks and beer), air conditioning, ceiling fans, black-out drapes, voice mail, wake-up calls, electronic check-out, electronic/magnetic keys, on-site tennis, desk, in-room safe, daily housekeeping, clock radio, coffee/tea maker, irons and ironing boards. Smoking is permitted, and rollaway beds and cribs can be provided.
Floors 7-9 at Occidental Grand Aruba make up the Royal Club. Guests who stay here can access the 9th floor, where they can take advantage of the panoramic-sea-view concierge/check-in lounge serving buffet and à la carte breakfasts, lunches and dinners. These rooms also come with complimentary wireless Internet access, 24-hour room service, bathrobes and turndown service. Royal Club guests receive a fruit basket and bottle of wine upon arrival. Guests should be aware that this room type cannot accommodate a rollaway bed.
When guests book a room at this all-inclusive resort, the majority of meals and beverages, along with taxes and gratuities, will be covered. Continental-breakfast room service is included, as are the drinks in the room refrigerators. Parents can also take advantage of sending their children to the children’s club, which offers supervised indoor and outdoor activities for those ages 5-12. Features excluded from the room rate include airport transfers, drinks in the casino bar, wine by the bottle, gift-shop snacks and beverages, optional or outside tours and excursions, motorized water sports, scuba instruction, scuba or snorkeling excursions, incidental purchases, telephone and fax charges, medical services, laundry, dry cleaning and childcare outside of the children’s club hours.
With the exception of those staying in the Royal Club, there is a surcharge for the high-speed wireless internet access.
