Maybe it’s a parole restriction or a huge fear of flying that restricts you from leaving the country. Or maybe you and the missus want to leave the kids with the nanny during the family vacation to Orlando and drive over for some adult fun.
Whatever the case is, you can drive to this clothing-optional all-inclusive resort on the outskirts of Tampa, Florida. They’re not beach-front like a number of other all inclusive resorts in the Caribbean but if bearing it all for a weekend with only a short drive is feasible for you, this could be a good option.
Caliente Tampa is situated on 16 acres and the resort has 7 pools. The main pool, called the “Lagoon Pool” is 1/2 acre in size and has 2 islands plus a waterfall. There are also 2 hot tubs, a sauna, steam room and a “conversation pool” which sounds like the hook-up spot. There’s a spa where you can get massages, body treatments, waxing and other services.
There are 5 bars and 2 restaurants on the property
If you’re want to do something active (outside your room) there are 6 tennis courts, 3 of which are clay, 2 water volleyball pools, 2 sand volleyball courts, 4 petanque courts, 1 basketball court, 2 shuffleboard courts and a fitness center.
You have 2 choices based on your purchas of either the “European” or “Luxury” inclusive package.
European package does not include alcohol, but does include up to $110 per day worth of food and non-alcoholic drinks.
Luxury package also includes alcohol, and increases the per-day limit to $185.
Both of the price limits are toward food & drinks served in their bars & restaurants only, so it sounds like it excludes room service. Also remember they are going to charge resort prices, so $185 may not be all that much by the time you include a few top shelf drinks and a steak & lobster dinner.
Also included is the use of resort amenities such as tennis, volleyball, pool, darts, pool tables, fitness center, sauna, steam room, aerobics and yoga classes, shuttle service between accommodation and resort areas within the resort and high speed internet.
What’s not included
Not included in the all-inclusive packages are private reserve wines, liqueurs, spa/beauty products, incidentals, phone charges and airport transfers.
